The English language has a very interesting history. It is a blend of Northern and Western European languages, all descended from Indo-European, a language spoken almost 6,000 years ago.
A language we can only guess at.
Its unique history and rich vocabulary—the largest in the world—make it the workhorse of languages.
It may not be pretty nor as complex as other languages, but it’s the one we all speak if we want to connect with others around the world.
